Agentic AI, Space Tech top SXSW London Trends Report

August 11, 2025

SXSW London has released its inaugural trends report, capturing the standout insights, provocations and future-facing themes that emerged during a week of future thinking and creative collaboration at the first SXSW London which took place in Shoreditch in June.

Over six days, 20,505 attendees from 85 countries converged across 34 venues to take part in over 500 talks, 600 music performances and 114 film and TV screenings at the inaugural event. The event provided a vital point of convergence for leaders across tech, creativity, business and policy with a focus on future thought and discovery.

The official SXSW London Trend Report has now been compiled by a team of writers, editors and industry experts, condensing hundreds of hours of talks and discussions into eight defining themes.

Key Themes from the Report:

1. Agentic AI Will Transform Work

Artificial Intelligence emerged as the defining theme, with ‘agentic AI’ seen as the next revolution, moving AI from automation to collaboration. Leaders urged companies to treat AI as a digital teammate and focus on building trust, reskilling teams and shaping ethical frameworks now.

2. Space: The New Business Frontier

Space is shifting from exploration to infrastructure. From orbit-based manufacturing to low-altitude urban air mobility, the space economy is rapidly integrating into mainstream sectors like energy, biotech and transportation. Businesses must start treating space as part of their value chain.

3. Collective Individualism

Speakers championed the revival of collective individualism – the belief that empowered individuals can drive meaningful, collaborative change across business and society.

4. Community-driven Brands

Brand loyalty now hinges on authenticity and participation. In a world of niche communities and creator-led ecosystems, brands that actively support and co-create with their audiences will outlast those chasing scale without substance.

5. Business with a Conscience

In the face of geopolitical instability, values-led business is proving both profitable and resilient. Purpose must be built into operations, not just storytelling and trust is earned through action, not aspiration.

6. The Healthcare Tech Revolution

Healthtech is shifting from reactive care to proactive wellness. From personalised treatments to biohacking, new tools promise longer, healthier lives. However, this is only possible if health systems and data ethics keep pace.

7. Experience-led Marketing

In an age of loneliness and fragmented attention, real-world, sensory experiences are redefining how brands connect with audiences. Gen Z in particular crave meaningful, shared moments, not just content.

8. Redefining Influence and Authority

Credibility is shifting from polish to authenticity. As younger audiences reject traditional gatekeepers, creators are emerging as trusted voices. The report calls on brands to embrace co-creation, fair pay and genuine partnerships.
