July 18, 2025

Chinese video streaming platform Tencent Video has announced that the Chinese dubbed version of animated adventure Dragon Raja Season 2 (24 x 25′) will be launching on leading global anime-focused VoD service Crunchyroll and other platforms on July 18th as a simulcast with Tencent Video, brokered by the title’s global partner Aniplex.
Tencent Video and Aniplex, a specialist in planning, producing and distributing anime series, have been working together on distribution since 2024, starting with the first season of Dragon Raja. The forthcoming launch of the second season, followed by the Japanese language version in October, marks a significant step in the companies’ partnership.
The partnership with Aniplex is part of Tencent Video’s strategy to make a long-term commitment to animation, as it actively seeks more global partners to help bring its content to a wider international audience.
In Dragon Raja Season 2, during the summer vacation, the hero of the series Lu Mingfei is dispatched by his college on an SS-rank mission with his senior Chu Zihang. On their way back to school, they encounter the beautiful new student Xia Mi. As ominous storms begin to fall, and whispers of the awakening of the Dragon King of Earth and Mountain stir… Where will our young heroes turn next?
