DAZN launches XR App on Meta Quest

June 18, 2025

DAZN, the sports streaming platform, has announced a partnership with Meta to launch an extended reality (XR) version of its app for Meta Quest devices. Developed in collaboration with spatial computing pioneers Immersiv.io, the app delivers a fully immersive viewing experience for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.

Launching exclusively in the US via the Meta Horizon Store, the DAZN: FIFA Club World Cup XR Experience app brings fans directly into the fray. On top of live video streaming with multi-angle camera views and interactive XR stats panels, supporters are able to watch every FIFA Club World Cup match with a 3D tabletop experience that provides a real-time virtual recreation of the pitch and players, providing unique perspectives and interactive controls. Fans are able to look down at the entire pitch and even rewind time to relive key moments in 3D, with the experience including replays of goals and highlights.

For the climactic final games of the tournament, including one of the tournament’s quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final, the app will add enhanced 180-degree live video feeds, placing fans virtually inside the stadium. This format allows users to watch from the sidelines, with a sweeping, HD view of every key moment.

Peter Parmenter, EVP of Business Development at DAZN, commented: “DAZN’s partnership with Meta represents a bold step forward in pushing the boundaries of innovation in how soccer is experienced. We’re thrilled to give US fans a new, immersive way to enjoy the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 — combining the world’s best club soccer with cutting-edge extended reality technology. This collaboration reinforces our commitment to making world-class sport more accessible and inclusive, reaching fans wherever they are, on the devices they use.”
