The stunt paid tribute to the franchise’s long-standing connection to the capital, which has featured prominently in several of the eight movies.
Iconic locations including Tate Modern, City Hall, County Hall and Somerset House became the canvas for a fast-paced cinematic spectacle. The projection piece was launched with an appearance from Cruise himself standing atop the iconic BFI IMAX building, reminding fans that these epic stunts are meant to be seen on the big screen.
The sequence celebrates the iconic theme music, the burning fuse, and Ethan Hunt himself sprinting through London’s streets: a defining image of the franchise. The campaign sought to honour both the legacy of the films and the city that helped shape them, giving fans an immersive experience ahead of watching the latest explosive chapter.
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is officially released in cinemas on May 21st.
