China: Moley now on iQIYI, Youku

February 27, 2025

Two Daughters Entertainment and digital media distributor Jetsen Huashi Wangju have announced the launch of Moley in China. The celebrated animated series is now available on iQIYI and Youku—the country’s two largest streaming platforms. All 52 episodes of Season 1 will be broadcast in both Mandarin and English.

The series was originally created by entrepreneur James Reatchlous, Founder and Executive Chairman of Two Daughters Entertainment, who first dreamed up the lovable young mole as a bedtime story for his two daughters. The story went on to be produced by Tony Nottage of Nottage Productions.

“This is an incredibly exciting moment for us,” said Reatchlous. “To see Moley embraced by a market as vast and dynamic as China is a dream come true. Thanks to the hard work and tenacity of the Two Daughters team, in conjunction with Huashi, we are delighted to have a new IP launching in this region, and we’re honoured to bring Moley’s universal themes of adventure, friendship, and curiosity to Chinese families.”

“iQIYI and Youku are the perfect homes for Moley, and we are delighted to introduce this charming and globally successful series to Chinese audiences,” added Peiyao Liu, the CEO of Jetsen Huashi Wangju. “We believe Moley’s heartwarming storytelling and engaging characters will resonate with families across the country.”

Moley is already a hit on Warner Bros Discovery’s Boomerang across EMEA, free-to-air POP in the UK, Peacock and Max in the US, ZDF in Germany, and Globo in Brazil.

“This is a real landmark for Moley,” continued Reatchlous. “The show is funny, engaging, and full of adventure 0 perfect for kids and families everywhere. China represents an exciting new chapter for us, and we couldn’t have asked for a better partner than Jetsen Huashi Wangju to help us make this happen.”

In addition to Moley, Two Daughters Entertainment is currently in production on their debut animated feature, The Land of Sometimes, featuring an all-star cast including Mel Brooks, Helena Bonham Carter, Asa Butterfield and Ewan McGregor. The company also recently signed with Zero Gravity Management for US representation and introduced themselves to Hollywood with a gala reception at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
