Media Tailor sets sights on Sweden; Mühle named CEO

Finnish media technology company, Media Tailor Group, is now turning its focus to the Swedish market. As part of its international growth strategy, the company has appointed David Mühle as CEO of its Swedish operations. He will also be responsible for Media Tailor’s international expansion.

Mühle brings over 20 years of leadership experience within the media industry, with extensive knowledge in both technology and sales. Previously, he served as the CEO of the social streaming guide PlayPilot, where he successfully led the company’s international expansion and increased the number of users from 10,000 to six million per month.

“Today, the number of media companies is vast, which increases the demand for flexible and varied ways to use media content in business operations. At the same time, the rapid pace of technological development, including AI, makes it challenging to offer a onesizefitsall solution,” said Mühle. “Media Tailor has already demonstrated in Finland how their solutions can drive innovation across an entire industry. The Swedish media industry is facing similar changes, making this the perfect time for our expansion. I am honoured to lead the company’s growth in Sweden and other international markets.”

Media Tailor offers solutions that help media companies produce, manage, and distribute digital media and content. With nearly 30 years in the industry, the company has a turnover of over 14 million euros and employs more than 50 specialists. The company also invests 50 per cent of its profits in various green initiatives aimed at reducing climate impact, primarily by increasing the proportion of natural carbon sinks that absorb carbon dioxide.

Among Media Tailor’s clients are the Finnish national broadcaster Yle, media house Sanoma, cruise line company Royal Caribbean, and the multinational television production and distribution company Banijay.

According to Mikko Kujala, CEO of Media Tailor, entering the Swedish market is a natural step in the company’s international expansion strategy.
