For the first time in Sky Sports football history, a referee has worn a broadcast microphone up during a live match. Sky Sports followed the PGMOL officiating team during the Barclays FA WSL match Chelsea v Reading earlier this month.

In exclusive footage that will be broadcast on Inside the WSL on April 21st at 6:30pm on Sky Sports Premier League, fans will be given an unprecedented insight into the match by hearing the in-game exchanges between referee Emily Heaslip, assistant referees Ceri Williams and Georgia Ball and fourth official Louise Saunders.

The programme will also feature an exclusive interview with Women’s Select Group Director Bibi Steinhaus-Webb.
