The Witches is the latest film title that will skip a UK cinema release and instead premiere as a PVoD rental in homes.
The adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl story, directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Anne Hathaway, Stanley Tucci and Octavia Spencer, will be available to download from October 26th.

Once downloaded, the movie will be available for viewing for 48 hours. The rental will cost £15.99 and will be available through a number of digital retailers including Amazon Prime, iTunes and Google Play.
In the US, the movie will premiere on the HBO Max streaming service on October 22nd, before screening in theatres 6 days later.
