The Astro Ultra Box is now available to customers of Malaysia’s Astro IPTV who are currently on Maxis Home Fibre network with speeds from 30Mbps. The Ultra experience includes 4K, Cloud Recording and a fresh new user interface that is seamless across device screens, improved content recommendations based on viewing history, play from start functions and the ability to record multiple shows at the same time.

Astro reports that the Ultra Box has been well received by customers with over 60,000 installations since launch in November 2019. Customers with the Ultra Box are showing higher engagement with 80 per cent of them consuming On Demand titles.

Astro IPTV customers on the Ultra Box can now stream all channels including 4K channel (CH 780) and On Demand content.
