Sony Pictures Television (SPT) is selling its VoD service, Sony Crackle, to Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment (CSS).
Chicken Soup, an AVoD network operator, will own a majority stake in the streaming video service which will be rebranded as Crackle Plus. Chief Executive Officer Bill Rouhana predicted the venture “will more than double the revenue” for CSS.

In January, CSS acquired Ashton Kutcher’s digital media company APlus.com for $15 million.
