With closure of the December 2018 deal for security solutions specialist Inside Secure to acquire content security specialist Verimatrix for an estimated $125 million set to close within days, Tom Munro, long-time and well-respected Verimatrix CEO has revealed that he is to leave the company.
In a brief note shared with industry contacts, Munro said he had “opted out of the future management team” in favour of retirement, to which he wryly adds “again”.
“My plan is to remain involved on some boards and advisory roles in the industry,” he advises. Given his years of experience and standing within the industry, it is likely that his counsel will be sought by interested parties.
