Greece: Nova, MGM content deal

Nova, a provider of bundled home entertainment and communication services in Greece, has agreed a deal with Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM) for first pay window film and TV content including the 25th installment of EON Productions and MGM’s James Bond, and the 24 official James Bond movies that precede it; and the third season of Emmy Award winning TV series The Handmaid’s Tale.
Nova, Katerina Kaskanioti, Pay TV Executive Director, said: “We are very happy to announce the new agreement with MGM which proves the studio’s confidence in Nova, as well as our commitment to offer the best possible content to our subscribers”.
The new agreement with MGM includes rights for the studio’s content distribution via laptops, tablets and smart phones on a linear and a SVOD/catch-up basis through Nova Go and Nova On Demand which allow subscribers to watch content anytime and anywhere in Greece.
Other titles featured in the deal include The Hobbit movie trilogy, the Rocky franchise and the latest Tomb Raider movie.
