Aura, Telefónica’s artificial intelligence (AI), voice-controlled digital assistant, is now available on the Movistar Plus pay-TV platform in Spain via iOS and Android apps.

Subscribers to Movistar Plus can use voice commands to change channels, search for content, ask for recommendations, order content, and pause and rewind whilst using the service.

The app is also up and running in Argentina (Mi Movistar Argentina), Brazil (through the app Meu Vivo Mais), Chile (through Facebook Messenger), UK (O2 Ask app) and Germany (Facebook Messenger).

In these countries (not Spain), the app also allows the subscriber to view info about packages and subscription bills, and chat with the technical support team or check out the available mobile data.

All these extra features will be available in Spain in September through Movistar Home which will also include a small screen to make video conferences.
