CBS boss Leslie Moonves has received a salary, plus bonus package of $69.6 million for last year’s work. It represents a 22 per cent improvement on his 2015 earnings.
The total compensation package is split between $32 million in cash, and another $31.9 million in stock options which themselves represent the 35 per cent gain in CBS’ share price over the year.
Moonves stays as one of the USA’s highest paid executives. His compensation package reflects the overall earnings that fall under CBS’s banner. Not only is it one of the ‘big three’ US networks, it also owns the Showtime movie channel, and the Late Late Show with James Corden.
