O3b sees impressive growth

SES-owned speciality satellite operator O3b (which seeks to supply the ‘other three billion’ underserved potential broadband users) is reporting impressive growth from some existing clients.
For example, Palau Telecoms has just increased its network capacity from O3b for the fifth time in less than 24 months, such is the popularity – and enthusiasm – of Palau’s broadband users now that they have a service.
Palau Telecoms is an ISP and says it has since upgraded regularly to keep up with subscriber demand, twice each in 2015 and 2016, and already once in 2017. Palau Telecoms is located on the Island of Palau, a remote archipelago of over 300 islands located South East of the Philippines in the Pacific Ocean.
O3b says it is enjoying growth of 30 per cent annually from its clients in the Asia-Pacific region.
