Fox to swoop on Sky?
September 30, 2016
By Chris Forrester
Not for the first time there are market rumours that 21st Century Fox is about to buy Sky and its trio of European pay-TV operations.
This time it is UK tabloid The Daily Mail that is reporting the imminent move, and suggesting that James Murdoch is about to take advantage of Sky’s depressed share price (down this year to date by 18 per cent) although September 29th saw Sky’s price jump 3.2 per cent on the gossip.
21st Century Fox already own 39.1 per cent of Sky.
