CDN specialist Akamai has revealed that the demand for online video data during the Rio Olympic Games exceeded the 2014 World Cup.
In a statement, the company said: “As of Saturday, August 20th, Akamai delivered more video data for Rio than it did for the 2014 World Cup, making this summer’s games the largest live sporting event that Akamai has helped deliver.”
