July 8, 2016
The FTTH Council Europe has welcomed the 5G Manifesto, published by the European Commission, which seeks to ensure that Europe is at the forefront of 5G evolutions.
The FTTH Council Europe participated as an observer in the process leading up to the creation of the 5G Manifesto and says it is pleased to note the recognition given to fibre and the need to invest in fibre networks to achieve 5G in Europe.
The 5G Manifesto recognises the need for wider fibre network deployments along with the need to create the right incentives to achieve those fibre investments.
