US approval for ARRIS/Pace deal
December 2, 2015
Communications technology specialist ARRIS Group has confirmed that the US Department of Justice has closed its investigation, without condition, under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 for ARRIS’s proposed $2.1 billion (€1.96bn) acquisition of digital TV and broadband technology solutions provider Pace plc.
ARRIS and Pace have previously received the required clearances from regulators in Colombia, Germany, Portugal and South Africa. The transaction remains subject to the satisfaction of similar merger control requirements in Brazil and the satisfaction of other customary closing conditions.
