Sky will premiere brand new crime drama The Last Panthers on November 12th to its 21 million customers in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany and Austria.
The six part series, a joint pan-European commission from Sky and Canal + in France, will be launched simultaneously across all five markets in which Sky operates.
Gary Davey, Managing Director of Sky Content said: “We’re hugely excited to be launching The Last Panthers simultaneously to our 21 million customers from across Europe next month. This drama has worldwide appeal with international talent on and off screen and is the latest example of Sky’s commitment to commissioning high quality and break-through original drama.”
The Last Panthers is directed by Johan Renck (Bloodline, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Bates Motel) and features a title track written and performed by David Bowie. The series originated as an idea from celebrated French journalist Jerome Pierrat and the screenplay is from award winning writer Jack Thorne.
