Technology specialist JDSU has been selected by BT to help ensure the reliable delivery of BT Sport channels over its IPTV service. BT will upgrade its existing JDSU xDSL test system by adding the IPTV option that performs centralized delivery, maintenance and troubleshooting of multicast services for broadband customers.
“Delivering superior customer service is a key pillar of BT’s strategy and there is no more critical area for this than ensuring we provide the best TV viewing experience,” said Neil J. McRae, chief network architect, BT. “Collaborating with JDSU enables BT to deliver a flawless TV experience, allowing our customers to enjoy exclusive content including Barclay’s Premier League Football, Aviva Premiership Rugby and much more on BT Sport.”
