MStar DivX HEVC UHD chip

DivX, a provider of next-generation digital video solutions, and MStar Semiconductor, a global expert in semiconductor solutions, has announced that MStar HEVC TV SoC will be the first digital television chip to receive DivX HEVC Certification, enabling the playback of highly efficient DivX HEVC Ultra-HD video.
“By delivering the first digital television chip that is DivX Certified for HEVC Ultra HD to Smart TV manufacturers, MStar will help accelerate the transition to 4K video around the world,” said Kanaan Jemili, CEO of DivX, LLC. “Our DivX HEVC technology provides consumers with an extremely efficient, superior quality 4K video experience that is ideal for next-generation digital televisions.”
