HomeGrid Forum appoints Allion Labs as ATH
August 13, 2014
As part of HomeGrid’s efforts to increase the number of accredited test houses (ATHs) to test G.hn silicon and systems, HomeGrid Forum has announced that its Board of Directors has selected Allion Labs Inc to be an ATH.
Taiwan-based Allion Labs was selected based on the strength of the company’s proposal and its long-term involvement in the G.hn effort.
John Egan, president of HomeGrid Forum, commented: “This is the next step forward for HomeGrid as we execute towards the global presence of G.hn. With the addition of Allion as an ATH in Taiwan, we have strategically located a test house near active G.hn silicon and system vendor members to facilitate testing and certification. Allion has been an active member of HomeGrid for several years and we were very pleased with our evaluation of its response to our request for ATH proposals.”
“Allion is pleased to make a contribution to the development of HomeGrid Forum G.hn Certification Testing,” said Anne Tsou, Vice President of Allion. “We came to the same conclusion, regarding the need for the home networking standard, and realized that both parties and the industry would benefit through this collaborative effort. As the first accredited test house for HomeGrid in Asia, Allion will devote itself to providing a diversified range of professional G.hn certification solutions.”
