May 28, 2014

Following announcements that it was launching its Wuaki.tv entertainment streaming service on wireless video streaming device Google Chromecast to Spain, the Rakuten-owned operator has confirmed that UK Chromecast users will have access to its catalogue of movies and TV series directly through their device.
To celebrate the launch, Wuaki.tv is offering every customer who purchases a full series of Game of Thrones, True Detective and The Sopranos, a Chromecast device for £10 + P&P (RRP £30).
In a blog post, Wuaki.tv says that over 80 per cent of Wuaki.tv users stream content through a smart TV, and since the introduction of Chromecast, the company has seen significant demand for Chromecast support from those users who do not currently own a smart TV. Wuaki.tv users can stream content directly from a Chrome browser on their PC or laptop, or through Wuaki.tv’s dedicated Android and iOS applications on tablets and smartphones which will also act as a remote control for the television.
