KOMNEXX delivers 1Gbit Internet access to rural North East Germany with PBN’s FTTx solution
August 26, 2013
Pacific Broadband Networks (PBN) announces that KOMNEXX started to roll out its 1Gbit Internet access service with PBN’s FTTx solution. KOMNEXX is a member of Ruhe Group.
The Ruhe Group concentrates the long-term oriented business activities of the entrepreneurial family Ruhe. KOMNEXX is offering Telecommunication and IT solutions for communities and companies in Germany. KOMNEXX chose to deploy PBN’s AOCM3000 series switches and CP120 CPE for a dedicated P2P network. The network is built along with the deployment of electricity and the existing pipelines to leverage the heating networks.
KOMNEXX delivers high speed Internet and VOIP service to 1000+ residential and business customers in 5 North East German villages. The FTTx project was started in August 2012 and fully deployed in December 2012. KOMNEXX started to promote the electricity, heating, Internet access and telephony and a bundled package.
Gerhard Schenk, Sales Manager Germany of PBN, said “By choosing PBN, KOMNEXX found a provider with reputation for helping both new start-ups as well as established Tier 2 & 3 operators. PBN’s onestop solution provides the most convenient way for companies like KOMNEXX to start their broadband business. Combined with PBN’s extensive industry experiences, PBN’s products and solution ensure KOMNEXX a minimum of OPEX and maximum flexibility for the future.”
Silas Bittmann, Technical Managing Director of KOMNEXX, said “PBN’s operator-friendly FTTH solution gives KOMNEXX the ability to focus on serving their customers instead of attending to their network. This is all due to the very compelling NMS3-software application used within the FTTH solution from PBN.”
