PLAiR now shipping in the US
April 25, 2013
PLAiR has begun shipping its portable streaming device to customers in the US. Unveiled at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), PLAiR delivers platform and device agnostic AirPlay-like functionality from Apple, Windows and Android devices to any HDTV with an open HDMI port.
“While more and more viewers are holding a phone or tablet while watching TV, over 95 per cent of households have yet to connect that device to control the television experience,” said Andy Tarczon, Founding Partner of The Diffusion Group. “PLAiR is enabling a wide array of tablets and phones to seamlessly share video with the television and control the playback experience.”
PLAiR users can stream their favorite network television shows, as well as local content, from almost any device wirelessly in full 1080p and 5.1 surround sound to any TV or projector with an open HDMI port.
