Minerva, Accedo partner for resale
March 18, 2013
Minerva Networks, a provider of software solutions for the delivery of television services, and Accedo, a specialist in TV application solutions, have formed a partner and global resale agreement. Accedo will become a Minerva preferred partner for app stores and applications, and Minerva will resell Accedo’s application services worldwide. Service providers will be able to seamlessly integrate Accedo’s application solutions and content with Minerva’s iTVFusion platform to deliver an intuitive television experience.
“Through this agreement, we’ll be able to offer a feature rich solution that enables pay TV operators to differentiate their service – critical in today’s competitive markets,” said Jean-Georges Fritsch, EVP of Products for Minerva. “We look forward to working with Accedo to leverage our platform across Smart TVs and other connected consumer devices.”
Accedo’s app store includes numerous applications designed for use and consumption on the television set, including casual gaming, news, sports, weather, and social media integration. These applications will be accessible through Minerva’s set-top-box client and deployable across xDSL, FTTH, and HFC networks. The resale portion of the agreement simplifies the licensing process and costs traditionally associated with third-party applications integration.
