4oD joining Sky Go
September 14, 2012
Sky and Channel 4 have agreed a deal to bring 4oD to Sky Go early next year. Sky is currently rebranding its Anytime video on-demand platform to become On-Demand, featuring a new Catch Up TV section offering ITV Player, Demand 5 and, later in the year, BBC iPlayer.
Sky and Channel 4 have now reached an agreement for 4oD to join the platform, enabling around 5 million Sky homes with Sky+ HD boxes and a broadband connection to catch up on Channel 4 shows. Channel 4 will become the first terrestrial network to add its channels to Sky Go, the online and mobile TV service offered to Sky customers.
Channel 4 has also agreed to bring the high definition versions of Film4 and More4 to Sky+ HD. They will join the already available Channel 4 HD and E4 HD.
