Telenor’s Canal Digital is launching its new connected ADB STB in September, as a prelude to its launch of a TiVo-based platform.
Canal Digital CEO Patrik Hofbauer said “We will launch the ADB box now – TiVo is a higher-end solution that will take longer.” He said Canal Digital will provide some over-the-top services to subscribers but there won’t be an offer of completely open access to web TV services but that access to complementary content would be beneficial.
