YouTube streaming trials
September 14, 2010
YouTube has been testing as a prelude to widespread live video-streaming, testing it with four Web video companies. Howcast, Next New Networks, Rocketboom and Young Hollywood, will be streaming during this week.
“Based on the results of this initial test, we’ll evaluate rolling out the platform more broadly to our partners worldwide,” the company said. Rocketboom, one of the four partners, said it had created three hour long live shows for the two-day test period. It said it would post technical explanations about its broadcasts on its research and development page.
