Virgin broadband tops speed poll

Virgin Media has once again come top in Cable.co.uk’s monthly broadband speed test. The study showed that Virgin Media offered an average connection speed of 8.4Mbps over the course of March, higher than the 6Mbps achieved by O2, which came in second. BT took third place with average connection speeds of 4.3Mbps, while Sky and TalkTalk completed the top five with average speeds of 3.9Mbps and 3.5Mbps respectively.
