Ten members of the US Congress have reportedly written to “several” US government agencies demanding answers on the September 1st catastrophe when a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket exploded and in the destroyed an Israeli satellite.

Trade mag Space News says that the 4-page letter asks questions about the validation of the Falcon 9 rocket following a previous launch failure (in June 2015) when a SpaceX rocket failed with a cargo destined for the International Space Station.

The letter asserts that the certification “appears to have fallen short” on the valuable cargo, and requests that NASA and the US Air Force be involved in the current examination of the September 1st explosion.
