Tivusat adds eight HD channels
September 14, 2015
From Branislav Pekic in Rome
Italian DTH platform TivuSat, owned by the major Italian terrestrial broadcasters, has added the RaiSport 1 HD channel to its line-up.
This takes the total number of Italian and foreign HD channels on TivuSat to eight. The other channels are Rai 1 HD, Rai 2 HD, Rai 3 HD, Arte HD, Super Tennis HD, KBS World HD and Telepace HD.
RaiSport 1 HD is available on channel position 112 and will air live coverage of the main sports events for which the Italian public broadcaster has the TV rights.
The existing sports channels, Rai Sport 1 and Rai Sport 2, will continue broadcasting, although with slight changes. The first will continue simulcasts in SD, while the second will supplement live coverage of sports events if the need arises.
