Apple TV will major on games
September 7, 2015
Apple will make gaming central to the Apple TV proposition it is expected to reveal on Wednesday, according to the NYT – though announcement expectations have been disappointed before.
The newspaper’s website reports that the new product is expected to have a starting price of around $150, more power for better graphics, a new remote that could double as a controller and an app store for buying games.
NYT reports that most game executives told it they see little chance that Apple will be able to win over fans of high-end game consoles such as Xbox One or PlayStation 4, but Apple could go after the casual gamers.
