Hulu going down to South Park
July 9, 2015
Comedy Central has announced that South Park creators Matt Smith and Trey Parker have signed a deal to extend the adult-animated series by another three years and 30 episodes (that’s in addition to the two remaining years on the shows current contract).
Additionally, South Park Digital has announced a separate deal with Hulu that will see the series remain on the US streaming service until 2020. The Hollywood Reporter claims Hulu paid a record-breaking $192 million for the rights.
South Park has been a constant, solid ratings hit since it debuted in 1997.
