upc cablecom acquires cable network in Beromünster

The municipality of Beromünster has operated its own cable network in its municipal territory (administrative district of Beromünster) up to now. The municipality has now decided to sell its glass fibre optic cable network to long-term partner upc cablecom with effect from October 1st 2015.
The municipality has already enjoyed a successful partnership with upc cablecom, with upc cablecom having supplied television channels and telecom services through the municipality’s network over a number of years.
“We would like to thank the residential municipality of Beromünster for the successful and mutually rewarding cooperation over the years. We are delighted that around 850 subscribers will now be able to benefit from all of our innovative products and services and have secured themselves access to the future of telecommunications and entertainment” commented Ivan Nash Vila, CFO at upc cablecom.
