Final Top Gears lead iPlayer March requests
April 28, 2015
There were 255 million requests to BBC iPlayer in March, with a weekly average of 57 million requests.
Top Gear performed well during March, with the final two episodes following Jeremy Clarkson’s sacking attracting over 3.6 million requests in total.
The BBC reports that the profile of iPlayer users has evened out over time in terms of male/female ratio, but remains strongly under-55 in terms of age, which is younger than the typical TV viewer or radio listener’s profile (although more in line with home broadband users)
