Jordan Radio & Television Corp (JRTVC) is to add a third channel to its existing pair. The new channel will focus on broadcasting youth, family and drama programmes,” JRTVC Director Ramadan Rawashdeh told The Jordan Times, and reported by BBC Monitoring.
JRTVC currently has one main satellite TV channel and another dedicated for sports.
However, the budget has not yet been decided or agreed although Jordan’s parliament is examining the project. Rawashdeh said he saw the channel employing about 170 staff.
