First worldwide UHDTV from Spain

Spanish broadcasting agency Abertis Telecom is to make the first worldwide UHDTV transmission at the end of this month within the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
An 84 inch TV screen will be used to test the quality of the UHDTV pictures that multiply by four the number of pixels on screen with a capacity of 35 Mbps to be reduced by half in the future by compression tecniques, according to the company. During the event, Abertis Telecom will also be testing DVB-T2 with simulcast transmissions for UHDTV and mobility devices.
