Discovery removed from Romania’s RCS/RDS

There’s a carriage fee dispute at Romania’s giant cable and DTH TV operator RCS/RDS between the operator and Discovery Networks. The squabble extends to Hungarian subsidiary Digi.
The disagreement centres on the renewal of a contract which ends this week on November 30th, and the two parties have failed to reach harmony on a new pricing structure, although Discovery is quoted locally as saying that it has not asked for an increase. Discovery’s flagship channel is affected along with Discovery World, TLC and Animal Planet.
