Euskaltel appoints Usamentiaga as president

Euskaltel, the Spanish telco serving the Basque Country, has renewed its Board of Directors, appointing Luz Usamentiaga as president replacing Jon Ander de las Fuentes in the position.
Usamentiaga has over 25 years of experience in the telco sector. She was one of the founders of the employers’ association Digitales, serving as its Secretary General since 2018. She will combine the Presidency of Euskaltel with her functions as Director General of Regulation, Public Affairs and Sustainability at MasOrange and the Presidency of the Board of Trustees of Euskaltel Fundazioa .
The Board of Directors of Euskaltel has thanked Ander de las Fuentes for his “effort and dedication” during his presidency of the company, in which he has achieved a large number of relevant successes such as the integration of Euskaltel, first into the MásMóvil Group and later into MasOrange, and more.
Following these changes and accompanying Usamentiaga, the new Board is composed of Meinrad Spenger, as CEO, who after the merger with Ibercom has always maintained a connection with the Basque Country and its development, and Jasone Altuna, Cristina Sustacha and Julio Gómez, as members.
