LOGIC becomes launch partner of AWS European Sovereign Cloud

January 15, 2026

LOGIC media solutions, an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Advanced Partner specialising in AWS-based media workflows, is one of the official launch partners of the new AWS European Sovereign Cloud (AWS ESC), which will be available from mid-January.

LOGIC media solutions has deep expertise in media-centric cloud workflows and, as an AWS Advanced Partner, possesses extensive knowledge of the AWS media ecosystem. With this expertise, the company now supports customers in establishing media workflows on the AWS European Sovereign Cloud as well.

As a specialist in media workflows based on the AWS cloud platform, LOGIC is supporting the launch of the AWS European Sovereign Cloud as a Solution Provider Partner – with a particular focus on media-specific applications.

“The fact that AWS has selected our company as a launch partner for the AWS ESC from the media sector is a strong endorsement of LOGIC’s expertise and the trust AWS places in us,” comments Jens Gnad, Managing Director of LOGIC. “With our know-how and our direct access to AWS as a long-standing partner, we are able to actively advise and support organisations in addressing their security requirements. Our goal is to become the leading point of contact for digital sovereignty in the media industry.”

LOGIC complements its AWS expertise with PORTAL, its proprietary frontend and orchestration platform for implementing established media workflows. These applications focus on reliability and ease of use, enabling non-programmers to manage workflows.

Why a dedicated European cloud infrastructure is needed

Many organisations in Europe operating in the healthcare, security, and media sectors are classified as critical infrastructure – including public broadcasters. In Germany, these are categorised as critical infrastructure under the BSI Act, the KRITIS regulation, and European regulations such as NIS2, specifically within the information technology and telecommunications / media sector.

To meet the heightened data protection requirements for these European organisations – and media companies in particular – AWS is establishing the European Sovereign Cloud. The ESC provides the necessary tools to support compliance, performance, security, data access control, and resilience, both under current and future EU regulatory frameworks. The AWS ESC is a standalone, fully independent cloud infrastructure with servers located in Brandenburg, Germany, and will be available to customers from mid-January 2026.

The European Sovereign Cloud is operated by three dedicated limited liability companies, established within the EU and managed by EU citizens, and operates completely autonomously.

In terms of performance, the European Sovereign Cloud meets the benchmarks familiar to AWS and is based on the AWS Nitro System, which provides the highest level of access control for applications running on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2). A dedicated Security Operations Centre within the EU, along with AWS Nitro System certification by the independent cybersecurity firm NCC Group, provides additional protection.

LOGIC has a long track record of working with public sector organisations, including broadcasters, government ministries, and the German Armed Forces. The company is now increasingly supporting these customers on their journey to the AWS European Sovereign Cloud.
