September 11, 2025
Nippon TV, the Japanese broadcaster, has named PubMatic, an independent technology company delivering a digital advertising supply chain, as a Premier Partner for Sugree, its programmatic TV advertising platform.
Nippon TV reaches more than 100 million monthly active users (MAU) each month through a range of popular entertainment, news, sports, and drama programming. By aligning its broadcast inventory with PubMatic’s global programmatic expertise, Nippon TV says it is making Japanese TV content accessible to advertisers around the world in real time, with advanced audience targeting, reporting, and optimisation capabilities.
Through the partnership with Sugree, PubMatic’s advertiser partners will gain programmatic access to Nippon TV’s inventory, enabling campaigns that combine the scale and brand safety of linear TV with the flexibility of digital media.
Naohiko Arai, Director and Managing Executive Officer of Nippon TV, commented: “We are committed to transforming television advertising in Japan by combining our unrivaled reach with advanced technology. Partnering with PubMatic, a company known for transparency, safety, and innovation, allows us to connect global advertisers with Nippon TV audiences in a way that maximizes the value of television as a media platform.”
Ken Aihara, Country Manager, Japan at PubMatic, added: “This partnership marks a significant step forward for programmatic TV in Japan. By bringing together Nippon TV’s scale with PubMatic’s global expertise, we’re making premium Japanese broadcast inventory more accessible than ever to international advertisers.”
