Sercomtel to launch pay-TV services by August
January 26, 2012
Brazilian telecoms carrier Sercomtel is looking to launch its first pay-TV services, through satellite DTH technology, by August, company president Roberto Coutinho told BNamericas.
“We’re just waiting for the approval of our licence from (telecoms regulator) Anatel to start offering DTH pay-TV services. We already have the technology to deploy the service,” Coutinho said.
Sercomtel operates solely in southern Brazil’s Paraná state and mainly provides fixed-telephony and mobile and fixed broadband services across 16 cities.
