The Last of Us Season 2 trailer sets HBO viewing record

The trailer for The Last of Us season 2 amassed 158 million global views across platforms between March 8th and 10th, securing its spot as HBO and Max Original’s most-watched trailer over a three day period.
The trailer outperformed previous The Last of Us Season 1 trailers and teasers by a margin of over 60 per cent.
The trailer was unveiled on March 8th, during The Last of Us panel at SXSW, featuring creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann alongside cast members Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Kaitlyn Dever, Isabela Merced, Gabriel Luna and Young Mazino.
Season 2 is set five years after the events of the first season, and sees Joel and Ellie drawn into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind. The series is based on the celebrated video game franchise developed by Naughty Dog for the PlayStation.
Season 2, which consists of seven episodes, debuts on April 13th on HBO and Max, and on April 14th in the UK on Sky and streaming service NOW.
