ADB joins Connectivity Standards Alliance and starts working on Matter
March 23, 2023
ADB, the global provider of Enterprise and In-home solutions for Video and Telco operators, announced that the company has joined the Connectivity Standards Alliance and has started working on the adoption of the new Matter standard into its product portfolio.
Matter is a new industry standard for smart home ecosystem, aimed at creating interoperability and a simple setup process. It’s an open-source protocol, being developed by the world’s most innovative companies which are members of the Alliance. It defines a common language for connected appliances to enable secure and unified communication between devices and platforms from different manufacturers, even without relying on cloud connectivity.
ADB creates efficient broadband and video system solutions that enable service providers to meet their subscribers’ demands for ultra-fast broadband, reliable Wi-Fi connectivity, and a modern video experience. These needs are driven by various factors, including work, school, fitness, social activities, online shopping, and entertainment, which are increasingly crowding into complex local office and home networks. Therefore, the implementation of the Matter standard into ADB’s solutions will allow operators to offer services and devices that are easy to set up and use, and are interoperable with other parts of the connected ecosystems.
“As a complete system solutions provider for operators offering broadband, connectivity, and video services to subscribers, incorporating Matter into our portfolio is a natural development step,” said Krzysztof Biliński, CTO at ADB. “Our products are at the core of home and business networks. With innovative and state-of-the-art solutions from ADB, our customers will be able to offer subscribers even more features and capabilities, improving the comfort of their lives.”
