February 18, 2020
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Movie streaming platform Filmin has launched the first Basque-speaking OTT service, Filmin Euskaraz. The service offers a library of Basque TV productions as well as cinema titles all subtitled or dubbed in Euskara – the Basque language.
The platform will include 40 titles, divided into three categories (fiction cinema, documentaries and children cinema), among them Dantza, Oreina, Agur Etxebeste, Loreak and Ander.
It is not the first time Filmin has launched a local platform dedicated to a specific language. It already launched FilminCAT with titles in Catalonian.
