DivX TV reveals partnerships

DivX, a division of Sonic Solutions, has revealed new partners across content brands and integrated circuit manufacturers for DivX TV, the company’s comprehensive Internet TV service that enables consumer electronics manufacturers to bring a broad range of web-based content to home and mobile devices
New DivX TV content sources revealed at CES include: AOL; Amos TV; Automotive Rhythms TV; Ebru TV; New Tang Dynasty; Right Network; Slacker Radio, and Wealth TV.
In addition to new content partnerships, Broadcom Corporation, Marvell Semiconductor and Renesas Electronics Corporation are the integrated circuit manufacturers working to implement DivX TV on their platforms
DivX and LG Electronics have also announced plans to showcase DivX TV and RoxioNow at CES 2011 as a part of a strategic alliance to include both solutions on LG’s next-generation 2011 network Blu-ray Disc players and home theatre systems with NetCast Entertainment Access.
“Sonic is powering universal access to all types of digital entertainment, from Internet videos to Hollywood movies, and LG is the right partner to help us bring that content directly to the market,” said Matt Milne, Executive Vice President and General Manager, DivX.
“We see Sonic as a terrific source for the delivery of paid entertainment and free web media to home and mobile electronics,” said Tim Alessi, New Product Development Director, LG Electronics USA. “The addition of DivX TV and RoxioNow to our 2011 product lines enhances the value of our NetCast features in Blu-ray players and home theatre systems, bringing consumers customised Internet video and premium entertainment directly to the living room in one device.”
