Francetvsport: Smart Replay, VR for Roland-Garros
May 25, 2017
From Pascale Paoli-Lebailly in Paris
France Télévisions’s digital sport service Francetvsport, which host broadcasts the Roland-Garros tennis open, is launching a new interactive feature for the tournament branded Smart Replay.
Created by French start-up Mojjo, Smart Replay will select key moments of a match within a 2, 5 or 10 minute time lapse and offer viewers a video summary of the match, without time-outs.
Francetvsport will broadcast live all the matches taking place across the 15 courts of the stadium, but the Smart Replay function will only feature on action from the two main courts (Philippe-Chatrier and Suzanne-Lenglen).
The Francetvsport app will also host VR content on its daily news magazine E-Mag 360° VR, that will allow viewers with a compatible headset to virtually immerse themselves into the tennis open.
