Girerd heads Kids and Family Division at Canal+
December 11, 2025
Vincent Girerd has taken over as Head of the Kids and Family Division at Canal+ France, in addition to his current role as Director of the Cinema channels. He will report to Jean-Marc Juramie, Deputy Managing Director of Canal+ France in charge of Programming and Channels.
In his new position, Girerd will oversee the entire Kids and Family offering of the group in France: the editorial management of Canal+ Kids, Télétoon+ and Piwi+, acquisitions and pre-acquisitions, on-demand content, and the definition of editorial strategy. At the same time, he will retain responsibility for Cinema editorial operations, the supervision of the CINÉ+ OCS services, as well as managing relations with professional film organisations – a mission carried out under Maxime Saada, CEO of Canal+.
Girerd joined the Canal+ group in 2001 as Financial Controller at StudioCanal. In 2008, he moved to the Canal+ financial teams, taking charge of management control for the Cinema and Series activities of the group’s channels (Canal+, TPS, CINÉ+). In 2011, he joined the Cinema Operations Department, where he notably oversaw the launch of CINÉ+ A La Demande, the SVoD and replay service for the thematic cinema channels. In 2015, he was appointed Director of Development within the Cinema division. Since 2017, he has been leading the cinema services and cinema editorial strategy in France, while playing a key role in negotiations with industry unions and public authorities.
